4x4 Adventure Trails & Team Building Fun Day

The 4X4 trail is in the Brakwater area North of Windhoek. The trail length is 26 km and will take about 6 hours with all the stops along the way for rests and the team challenges. Strict driving is about 3 hours. The area is primarily mountainous but we will negotiate many types of terrain. The trail itself is rated 3 – 4 for difficulty on a scale of 1 – 5. Be local will spend time with the guests and get them acquainted with the principals of 4X4 before we start. When we are all together we relax with a cup of coffee and play simple interactive games to break the ice. It is here where we announce the teams (put together by you) and the teams then meet their instructor and will receive their briefing.

We divide the group into teams. It does not make a great difference if the teams are not exactly the same number on each, as long as it’s evenly distributed among the various teams. All the activities are fun and not on a competitive basis. This makes 3 - 4 participants + instructor per car. Each team is responsible for making a war cry and short play.

Vehicles begin the trail in 30 minute intervals so one team does not see what the other does and also avoids congestion. This time is used by the team that leaves first to refine their war cry at the end of the day whereas the team leaving later will use the time to form their war cry. The route incorporates team building activities that are interactive and require each group to work together but also needs individual participation.

The benefits of such an event are far reaching for the synergy of any business and allow colleagues to interact with one another outside the work environment. This facilitates for better communication, knowledge of positive attributes of individuals and their role in a team and highlights areas for possible improvement. In addition, each participant learns off-road principals and driving skill during the 4X4 trail.

After the day is done we have a relaxing BBQ in a natural setting. We offer refreshments en-route but drinks for the evening will be available at the cash bar. The day’s event can be extended to an overnight stay where we have fully catered camping facilities available.

In addition to this, a drumming circle can be arranged for the evening.

Helicopter Rides

Namibia covers an area of close to 825 000 square kilometers. With the landscape, flora and fauna changing every 60 km there is more to see than you can imagine. The helicopter provides a modern and effective means of exploring vast Namibia. Tailored to your every need, be local tourism provides an authentic spectrum of options from lodging to the full camping experience complete with Champaign breakfast on the summit of Namibia’s highest mountain, shark fishing off the Skeleton Coast and hiking in the Spitzkoppe.

Bowling

We take the team for a playful bowling outing. While we bowl, we eat, drink and be merry. This is ideal for an afternoon or evening event for groups of up to 40 guests. It’s fun for everyone and informal; the atmosphere is one for great interaction outside a work environment. Throughout the activity we provide snack platters with various foods and also a nice Goulash for later. needless to say, any catering can be arranged.

Dragon Boat Racing

Dragon boat racing is the fastest growing sport worldwide. The long boats carry 18 team members each and have a drummer at the helm that sets the rhythm for the rowers to follow. Rowing is more fun than competitive and is easy for all age groups, fit or not-so-fit. The event has commentators, a podium for all kinds of prizes, for example, the best Spirit, the funniest war cry, and anything your imagination allows. We end the day at the waters edge for a delicious BBQ to celebrate the victories of the day.
